and this is part 5 of my birthday carnival. aaron brought me out for a super nice dinner at central, clark quay. there's lots of japanese restaurant there....my aim - to try out all the restaurants there...PROVIDED that i have the spare cash to splurge. bahHhhh.
there's this japanese restaurant, highly recommended by me, ikanthegreatest. it's opened by japanese and the ramen is really really awesome!

this is the to-die-for-marutama-ramen. the soup is good....the char siew....omfg....the fats just melts in your mouth. and no. im not kidding! the meat and the fats is so soft and nice!!! like wow~~ i cant describe it. i thought the char siew was superb....not until i tried the egg...
this is the egg!!! half eaten by me. haha....i dont know how they do it but it was perfectly braised (with compliments from pervert....-.-") it's hard on the outside, but half watery on the inside!! like super nice!!!!!!!!! roar!! oh...one thing, the egg does not come with ramen...so, you have to add the egg. it's a side dish kind of thing. a dollar for an egg. worth it.
this is another side dish. grilled whatever meat it is. haha. 4 slices for 6 bucks. i will say worth it. dont look down on these few pieces of meat. they are powerful. just like the char siew in the ramen, the fats melts in your mouth. mMmmmmm...
and another side dish. hahahahaha. this is what i call heaven. a very very fulfilling treat from aaron. =) after the meal, we walked around central mall. i will say it's a pretty interesting place. filled with lots of japanese stuff. there's this japanese mini mart located at the basement that sells all sorts of japanese tibits and food. go check it out...
i fell in love with qoo. it's just so cute!! and see? they come in different flavours and different flavours have different faces of qoo. haha...dont you love the japanese? they are just so innovative!
this is my favourite packaging. haha...cos qoo looks super retarded for the apple flavoured juice. =)
next, we biked our way down to the cathay...was wanting to watch horton....but it wasnt showing in cathay. so ended up, aaron treat me to eat ben and jerry's. haha....de javu huh? oh oh...let me just say it now...this is an all expenses paid by aaron day.
the love of my life (for ice cream). chocolate therapy from ben and jerry's. wheEeee! okay...im lazy to rotate the photos...after ben and jerry's, aaron brought me to mount faber to look at the scenery...and also, as a singaporean, i've only been there once in primary school...but i can bearly remember how does the place looks like.
the place was quiet...aaron paid for the one dollar big binoculars thingy to look at the harbour. it was pretty....pity we went there a little too late...if not, the sky will be much prettier. =) after mount faber was geylang. haha...it was tau huay time! -seriously, i ate like a pig that day- the very famous tau huay store which brings back lots of memories...cos someone brought me there to eat before too.
aaron said whenever he eats the tau huay, he feels like he's eating his pillow. haha...weird analogy but still...it's okay. cos to me, i feel like im eating clouds. lol...after tau huay, it was kallang, brewerkz. time for some beer and soccer.
that's the menu. the beer is gooOooodddd....they made it themselves. great drafts to end the night.
the beer. =) and after that...it was home. haha....i think im spoilt for the day. i dont even need to bring my wallet out. haha...

we drank coffee at ya kun and this is what we got. our birthday falls on 04/04. the queue number we got is 4. the change, $4.40. nice huh? and we met at about 4 plus in the late noon. haha...what a coincidence.
didnt get a chance to take a photo with avril...think we're busy talking crap....went to ntuc to buy food and tibits for the family...cos i was having a birthday celebration with the family (part 2)...this time round, it's a feast cooked by my mum. it was western food - pork cutlet with potato and brocolli and not forgetting, my beloved crabs. muahaha. mummy dearest bought 20 crabs. separated into two different portions - black pepper crabs and chilli crabs. niceness.
no pictures...was too busy eating...oily fingers....dont wish to touch my handphone. haha. therefore explains the description above without the pictorial effect.

after din tai feng, i went to shop around raffles city shopping centre and went back home to celebrate with the family. they bought me my favourite cake again!!! chocolate cake from awfully chocolate. woohoo! it's soOooo freaking nice that it drives me crazy whenever i eat it. =)
the cake box. nice right? i think it looks super high class!! haha...or least to me it looks high class.

ta-da! the chocolate cake that makes me smile. looks like my 21st birthday cake huh?

asked wanrou and yanzhen to celebrate my birthday with me....(on the day itself) and they treat me to din tai feng at raffles city shopping centre. heh. im a happy happy little girl. didnt managed to snap a few shots of the food cos we were extremely hungry.
